This studio made a perfect place to stay on Syros. It is a spacious, airy, stand-alone stone building, one large room furnished in a traditional style, and complete with a kitchen, small dining table, wardrobe and comfortable double bed. Everything necessary to prepare and eat simple meals at home is provided. The bathroom is basic but fully functional. The terrace, with shade trees and a view over farmland, made a lovely place to dine, or just to sit in the late afternoon and evening. I appreciated the personal touches: fresh eggs from their chickens, herbs and potatoes from their garden, their own fig jam and their own olive oil. Terry also pointed me to a good rental car company, and met me at the port when I arrived. Syros itself is an interesting island. I particular enjoyed my trip to the Ano Meria, the small villages and wild lands in the north. Two practical points: 1. If you stay here, you will need a car. This is not a negative, in my opinion, as it would be a shame to come to Syros and see only Ermoupolis. 2. The drive from Ermoupolis to the farm is not too long (perhaps 20 minutes), but it winds about quite a bit. I arrived after dark and was quite appreciative that Terry met me at the port so I could follow him there in my rental car. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful time in the Eucalyptus house.

The place is ideal for a couple and the outside setting is amazing with the plunge pool, the eucalyptus trees, the views, the hamac… Lefteris is extremely welcoming and nice – he came to pick us up from the ferry. His father is adorable, very energetic and friendly. He would give us tomatoes, fresh eggs from the farm, capers, fresh figues, home-made bread, etc. The interior of the guesthouse has everything you need. The place is extremely calm and ideal if you want to relax and read to the sound of cicadas. Thnaks for everything Alexia, Lefteris and your father!

Terry and Alexia were such wonderful hosts, and their son was just the cutest. They were easy to get in contact with, friendly, and accommodating. They helped us get a car upon arrival, after a small mishap on my part. The Apartment looks just as you see in the pictures. Additionally, there are three “farm houses” on the property. It is located about a 15 minute drive to Ermopouli, and a 25 minute drive to a wonderful beach called Dolphin’s bay in Gallaisas (all signs on the island make traveling a breeze). Think path less travelled, a perfect place for a relaxing stay.

Was für ein großartiger Ort!

Ein kleines Ein-Raum-Haus mit schöner Terrasse und großartigem Blick, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, und sehr sauber. Alexia und Leftheris haben in kleines Parafies auf dem Land geschaffen! Die Kommunikation war prompt und reibungslos, Alexia hat mich am Hafen abgeholt. Das Eukalyptushaus liegt einige Kilometer vom Hauptort Ermopoulis und auch von Minimarkets, Tavernen oder Stränden entfernt. Aber absolut ruhig! Was man wissen sollte: Man braucht ein Fahrzeug um die schöne Insel zu erkunden, ein Scooter ist völlig ausreichen. Die Dusche ist, wie oft in Griechenland, offen, ohne Duschkabine oder -vorhang, das Haus ist genau wie auf den Fotos. Alexis und Leftheris sind wunderbare Gastgeber, die viele Tipps und Hinweise geben. Der Vater von Leftheris hat mich jeden Tag mit Obst oder frischen Eiern versorgt. Wer Ruhe in schönster und ländlicher Umgebung sucht, kann keinen schöneren Ort finden! Hier fühlt man sich als Gast bei Freunden!

Ein wunderschöner Ort.

Wir waren in dem größeren Haus, für 2 Wochen und völlig allein. Es war wunderschön! Ein Ort für alle, die nicht viel brauchen, ausser Natur, Ruhe und Entspannung. Wir waren überrascht wie schön Syros ist. Es hat an nichts gefehlt. Danke an die sehr sehr lieben und herzlichen Gastgeber. Wir haben uns wirklich wohl gefühlt. Danke! 😉
